STUFF WE LEARNED THIS WEEK: Not a G-D thing! Okay, not entirely true. We learned that Noel is still super sketch, but not sketch enough to kill Maya. He is sketch enough to have a secret room in his cabin. We also learned that Wren is down with the Ezra Fitz Dating Method - which is to say - he's okay dating teenage girls, despite being at least ten years older. And that Maya is the only teenage girl, possibly person, who still writes notes and puts the date on them. Which is convenient if those notes are a clue. And I learned a new favourite threat: crush your scones. But as for clues about A? Nothing I can put a finger on.
Oh hey Rosewood! The town that is layered in clues and red herrings. Film Noir coffee shop names? Okay! That has to mean something, right?

Then again, I didn't see the whole Mona thing coming, so what do I know? Let's talk about what I do know: the fashions.
Aria. Everything seems relatively normal in the world of Aria: vest, short floral shirt, high boots. This is downright conservative for Aria.

But when we break it down, shit get cray. Like the back of this Ted Baker vest.

WTF? I don't even know. It's not the only crazy floral in this episode, but it certainly is the oddest. Especially once you bring in the accessories.

Are those...buttons? Yes. I believe those are random buttons. Righto.
(BT-dubs, the PLL wardrobe crew has a serious things for Rebecca Minkoff bags, as seen above.)
Onwards and upwards. At least I think it's upwards.

A leather vest Ems? That's downright fashion forward of you compared to recent outfits. Oh wait.

Never mind. You chose a pattered leather vest. And the pattern matches your bracelet. But I'm pretty sure I saw white denim in there, so that's something.

Girlfriend, what? A stripe down the side? And shoved into biker boots? I'd ask if you were kidding me, but I'm pretty sure you're not. Those BDG pants are not my jam.
I don't know who's worse, you or Paige.

Wow. Live to ride, ride to live. Didn't Paige used to do something a little more preppy? Did I dream that? When exactly did she give that up for true American mechanic styles? Because I'm not sure I'm on board with this.
Want to know what I am surprisingly on board with? Spencer's outfit.

What up kicky little peplum top with the gold belt? The B grades might be making her sad, but not so sad she can't dress cute. And better yet? That top takes "animal print" to a whole new level"

And that level would be awesome. I would normally scoff at a tiger print, but I am so jazzed by this one.
Another pattern that I surprisingly like?

The floral pattern should say, "upholstery from the lanai on Golden Girls", but on Hanna? It's saying, "I'm the cutest, don't even try to compete."
As if to make up for her earlier cray, Aria brings it hard in her workout gear.

Kitten, that polka dot warm up jacket is the bomb. Want/need now.
It's just too bad Ezra isn't noticing.

But y'all clearly are looking bored with each other. And lately, the looks are either fighting faces or boredom. And it doesn't help that he's not even trying to go shirtless around you anymore while you're all dolled up.

Could this be the end of the wildly age inappropriate Ezria? Oh please, please say it's so . (Sorry Ezria shippers. Not getting on board with you)

OK, when Aria has that vest and skirt, then I saw the back I was like, WT?!?! Is that a whole dress? Is that a vest with no back? Is that a dress with half a vest sewn on in the front?!? I can't even!
Word on Spencer's mastery of unconventional animal prints. Using her as an inspiration, I now own a cat-print tee as well as one with a horseshoe print. And yesterday I was lusting after a top with raccoons on it. Stores didn't used to carry things like this, I think Spencer has ushered in a new trend (much like Aria did with feather earrings).
Anna - that skirt/dress thing was all kinds of baffling. What kills me is that someone actually made a vest with a back that will only match the skirt.
Ann - Spencer started that with her pony prints. Now it's all over the joint. And I want it.
