Mini-Recap: Return of the Ring

Season finale! Once again, Serena's best intentions prove to be the worst thing for everyone. And her worst intentions really are the worst. Dan gives Blair an ultimatum, and Serena manipulates him into recreating the sex she had on a bar with Nate. And Serena wonders why B kicked her out after the diary incident and Lonely Boy doesn't return the feelings when he learns he's been used. Lily is drinking vodka out of teacup and considers taking up with TOTALLY NOT DEAD Bart Bass after Rufus makes an ass of himself. Bart is still a fantastic father figure as he ousts Chuck from the family business. Lola heads off for a life as the understudy to an OompaLoompa and gives ChIvy the money her money to take Lily down. Diana may have a lead on Gossip Girl for Nate, Dan's making a book deal with the devil, Blair's betting on Baby Bass and being a business lady, and Serena's on a train to nowhere. What will the sixth and final season bring us?

Party du Jour
Sheppard's divorce party. Their wedding kicked things off back in the day. Looks like it's going to be the kick off to our final season.

While purse choice and Wilma Flinstone necklace were questionable, I did love Blair's dress for the divorce party.

Worst Outfit
Serena! What? First the macaron revealing skirt and then follow it up with a black and yellow trench? Over a blue dress? You are just full of bad decisions this week.

Ok is it just me or did this season finale make NO SENSE???WTF are the only words to truly describe all the endings on pretty much every storyline from this season (with the only one making sense is Blair choosing Chuck, duh! Glad she finally woke up and left Dan and his pet monkey/hair). I mean Lily turned into a total bitch this season, so I guess her choosing ruthless Bart over dull Rufus shouldn't really surprise me (plus in all honesty, Rufus can do better, he is a much better person than his ex wife). I never was a Serena fan, never got the appeal, but this season the writers managed to turn dislike into complete and utter hate. I hate her character so much, I just consider myself lucky for living in an entire different continent that Blake, cause I can't guarantee I wouldn't totally bitch slap her, that's how much I hate Serena right about now. Can't say I'm sad to see her back to her druggie, train wreck (pun intended) ways. I wish Eric would come back, the only van der Woodsen who was actually likable!

Dan pretty much got what he deserved, if you've got a woman like Blair who's still obviously in love with Chuck (hello,she spent most season pining over him but not being able to be with him because she made a promise, TO GOD, and by sacrificing her happiness she tried to keep him safe) and by some miracle you trick her into sorta liking you back, you don't set ultimatums...you're bound to lose buddy. And then you cheat on her?? With Serena?? And then you go on being all pouty and moody because she chose Chuck?? Really?? And writing another book about the "real" UES...way to be original dude!

As for Blair and Chuck I've got only one thing left to say:They better end up together, otherwise there's gonna be hell to pay...HELL I tell ya!

I'm not surprised the show only got a short sixth season. This season has been so full of plot holes it's like a giant piece of swiss cheese. And the characters have been crazily inconsistent.

I'm no long on the Chuck/Blair thing because now I'm just bored of the OH MY GOD I LOVE YOU I CAN'T BE WITH YOU I'LL TRADE YOU FOR A HOTEL NO WAIT THIS IS UNDYING LOVE FOR REALS Y'ALL relationship they have. I didn't really get on the Dan bandwagon though, but it's hard when he's got a small terrier living on his head. And Serena? You are so right. She turned into a massive bitch.

LOL I chuckled with your "little terrier" remark,even though that's completely unfair to terriers,most actually look pretty cute (unlike Dan's hair/shaggy hippie rug of the 70's).And I totally get the Chuck/Blair thing,when Chuck turned all moody saying "I don't want you now I've lost everything" I was screaming to the screen "seriously,dude,seriously!!!You've been chasing her for two years,she now comes to you and you've got your panties in a bunch because your daddy just threw you out of the company...you got the girl,you won either way!!".But I did like the ending (Blair showing up at the casino and claiming how it was now her turn to fight for them),that was pretty cool and I still want them to stay together,cause they were one of my favorite tv couples!And the Dan thing never made sense to me,not even as a horrible,after prince Boring rebound!

I'm not gonna be sad to see the show go after next season,the clothes/hair have consistantly gotten worse/absurd and the plots more and more insane,so yeah,it's time to part ways because this show has gotten completely derailed by now (which if any writers are reading,I wouldn't mind happening to Serena's train,as we speak...the sooner the better!)
