Episode Synopsis: Alright, I'm gonna say it right now--'A' is one scary MoFo. Each week he/she comes up with a freakier way to scare the PLLs, and each week I'm equally as scared as they are. Ian's funeral is the main event while Emily takes over the Investigator role from Spencer; discovering that Ian's supposed suicide note was merely 'A' up to her/his old tricks. And EzRia is on the verge of a meltdown. But what you really need to know from this episode is that the cuteness--that is Hanna and Caleb--has returned! Their lips have locked once more!
Now...let's move on to the fashion shall we?
Aria seems to be experimenting with a new look this week. A little more sophisticated, a little less bohemian. Maybe because her super-fine BF is now a college professor? OR maybe she is trying to keep up with a certain ex-fiance? Either way, I still cannot decide how I feel about this outfit. I kinda like, I kinda don't. I know, I know...real eloquent, but I just can't decide!
Once again something a little more polished than usual. She must have borrowed the pants from Spencer (and had them hemmed...since Spencer is like 8 feet tall).
I thought this was so CUTE. And for once in any of these characters' lives highly appropriate. Funeral black but in a fun cut suitable for a high schooler. AND wedges! Well done PLL Costume Department, well done!
For real now, what is the deal with all these cropped tops on this show? 1986 called and Molly Ringwald wants her cropped jean jacket back.
Standard fare for Em, but this is a great cut for a tee and I always loooove this color on her. The back is sheer which makes it a little more fun...and sexy. Ugh and that perfect flowy, wavy hair....some people just get it all.
How strange is it to see Emily not in a t-shirt? In a dress, even?
I will tell you. Very strange. She must have stolen this from Pam's closet because it is the perfect, wear anywhere black shift dress. Add the cardi and presto!...you've got yourself another highly appropriate funeral outfit for a high school girl.
This is Emily's "I-think-I-just-peed-a-little-I'm-so-scared-and-freaked-out" face. Exactly how my face would like too (I practiced in the mirror...just kidding) if I was in a cemetery and a projector began playing a movie. However, her leather jacket caught my eye; she always has the best ones!
Hanna knocked it out of the park this week. I absolutely adored every single outfit. You may be thinking red and white stripes, really? Because A. Red and white is usually reserved for candy canes or B. Maybe you're thinking Red Stripe beer. Depends what you're in to...
But this works. A fun shape for the top, a tough collarless leather jacket, and black skinnies = perfect blend of edgy and cute. Oh Hanna, how I wish I was you...and not just because you have a hunky boy after your affections ::sigh::
Hanna softened up her look here. Big surprise, she looks equally as cute. Great school outfit.
Now, Hanna's a smart girl. She knows perfectly well that this is not appropriate for a funeral (even if it is Ian's). Obviously she just wanted to try it out so she knew it would look good for Caleb...
The girl really knows how to wear red.
If you don't remember...at this particular scene Spencer's grandma was trying to call the fam to check in and see how they were doing. But I suspect that she was just calling to retrieve her outfit from Spencer back. Those are some serious granny pants. I wonder, does one have to wear granny pantIES under granny pants?
The cropped-ness has finally appeared on Spencer. I'm just getting confused now. Are they trying to start a trend and I need to go out and buy multiple iterations of cropped jackets and shirts? Or is the wardrobe department really short on cash and trying to save on fabric? Or does the person styling them actually believe it is still the '80s and loves cropped tops? I NEED ANSWERS PEOPLE!
This is Spencer's "I-think-I-just-peed-a-little-I'm-so-scared-and-freaked-out" face. She looks a little more pained than scared, but maybe that's because she has a uber-stylish trench coat on and she knows she looks polished and put-together. Because when I go out snooping in a graveyard, I throw my trench coat on. Duh.
And finally all the girls in their mourning gear. Everyone looks great except Spencer--I think her dress is from 4th grade. C'mon Spence! All the other girls are looking hot, you can too, you didn't even like Ian!
