After spending a week at fancy-man’s place and attending fancy shin-digs, Cece convinces Jess that it’s important he spend some time on her turf. So Jess decides to invite Russell over to the loft for the weekend. Surely nothing will go wrong…
Seriously digging the collegiate jacket and the fairly unkept hair which keeps the outfit from feeling stuffy. Although if we had x-ray vision we’d know that Jess was wearing fancy-man’s underpants underneath that dress! Scaaandaalousss!! Teachers are wild. You just never know what you’re going to get!
When Jess finally arrives home we see that despite wearing men’s boxer-briefs she’s looking extremely adorable.
I’m really into white dresses lately, and thus love most of what this outfit has to offer. But the shape is a bit off-putting. Wearing something flowy is obviously ideal (can you imagine the nasty panty lines boxer-briefs would give you?) but it makes petite Jess look bigger than she actually is.
Aside from the fact that it could be a couple of sizes smaller, I love the structure and the pleats in the skirt. The red belt is a fun little pop of colour to top things off.
Turns out Jess is also wearing red shoes with that dress and we disover this after Cece has chosen to go au naturel now that’s she’s openly dating Schmidt. Sure you need girl talk from time to time but I prefer that to happen when my friend 1) isn’t naked and 2) hasn’t just slept with my roomate. Just sayin’.
Red is the colour of love and this epsiode! Jess sports a cute and casual stripey red tee and black skinny jeans for her weekend in with Russell.
Good thing Jess stuck with pants because the gang decides to partake in a drinking game that involves avoiding the molten lava. We’ve all done that as kids right? Minus the booze? But I digress. Despite Russell having a blast, Jess doesn’t seem to like the male roomie bonding and decides to go to bed.
In the AM, Jess confides her anger with Russell to a more appropriately dressed Cece, and Jess has on another one of her creatively coloured PJ sets. Where does she find all these PJs? Is there some sort of eclectic PJ store that I’ve been kept from my whole life? Maybe only those who look cute in glasses (and have hair that looks only somewhat disastrous) are permitted entry into such a PJ store.
After Russell gets stabbed by Schmidt and Nick’s “Real Apps” invention, he decides to head home, crushing Jess’s dreams of a weekend of fun. Womp womp. Jess cools off, and heads back to Russell’s to insist they fight it out. Turns out these two smitten kittens are too in like to be mad at each other.
And in a sweater that adorable how could you be! It’s like “Hey, I’m red! When you see me you SHOULD be mad, but wait, there’s a bow!” Cute, passive, friendly. BAM. The sweater has played Jedi mind tricks on you and now you’re out a of a fight with your super hot/rich boyfriend. Crisis averted.
So there you have it. Jess and Russell seem to be in it to win it? Will red be their colour of love? Or disaster?
