I actually think Vanessa’s necklace is pretty ssssssssweet.  You know because it’s a sssssssnake who ssssssslithers…I know, I’m a sucker for alliteration.  But it’s not too often I pay V a compliment…

Vanessa looks positively verklempt in this photo.  Or, you know, wishing she could go back to 1987.  The side pony, the neon bracelet, the patterned pale pink top…it’s all so fitting for a day at the mall for an ’80s gal.

And oh, look, Vanessa fights the good fight against solid colors again:

I’m definitely loving the gold necklace though.

Bree and Nate.  Hello busy pattern!  Hello cut not appropriate for daytime!  Hello frat boy polo for Nate!  Bree is clearly stunned by her poor choice in day dresses, especially while strolling next to the always nattily attired Nate.  I love a man in a polo (there, I flew my white flag) but this seems a little less New York, a little too Big 12 school for N. Archibald.

In other highly inappropriate news, I’m as much into leggings as the next person, but really?  It’s like YOU’RE WEARING NO PANTS GEORGINA.  What is the point of these scraps of fabric literally hanging by strings?  No wonder you and Serena used to be bffs, she never seemed to care for pants either…

This next look is much better. I’m loving this neckline on Georgina!  I see it more as Friday night fare for yours truly, but by day or bright light in New York City, every sidewalk is your catwalk…

And I know it’s getting colder and all, and we’re entering the time of year in if you’re going to don a dress and leave your Hudsons at home, you have to a). cab it and/or b). get prepared to rock the black tights, but something about Georgina’s pair just isn’t sitting well with me.

Maybe it’s the juxtaposition of the pink carpet in the background, but something about it feels a little too ’80s to me, or (horror of all horrors) cheap.  Maybe it’s because her tights are sheer instead of solid.  Clearly, I’m big on solids. But her hair looks fantastic, and I’m seriously lusting after that studded clutch.

Georgina should stick to what she knows.  No leggings, no dresses, just tops with that certain je ne sais quoi. Here’s her piece de resistance, from both the front and the back…Cheer up G! Even though Dan is putting up resistance to stocking up some more sock time with you, your fashion sense has come back in fighting form!

I know this episode is entitled The Lost Boy, but maybe it should include a caveat about a lost girl as well.  We saw Jenny for about 2.5 seconds last night (I timed it), but it was enough for her to make a serious style statement.  I get that the heart pattern is supposed to make the slim cut more saccharine, but come on.  Just like nothing got between Brooke and her Calvins…it’s a little much for hanging out with Eric at the house, and like everything little J wears, a little unbelievable for someone who is still in high school, but I like it somehow…
